The drop-top version of the Nissan 370Z likely will bow at the New York auto show. The convertible follows the coupe version, launched at the end of December. The open-air 370Z would arrive for the 2010 model year.
General Motors' Saab division won't end up on the postbankruptcy scrap heap with Pontiac and Saturn. Just as Saab's death appeared imminent, the Swedish automaker was scooped up on Tuesday by Dutch supercar-maker Spyker Cars in a $74 million deal that has been in works for months. The magnificent Audi R8 V10 was officially launched at Detroit this week (although we brought you details on the R8 V10 over a month ago!), and it will cause some real problems for car manufacturers at this level – most noticeably Porsche. The R8 V10 seems something of a bargain at £99,575 OTR (or £104,665 for the R-Tronic), particularly if you compare cars with similar performance, such as the F430, which is nearly £40k more.
